POLICE CLOSE TO ARREST OF HIT-AND-RUN TRUCK ACCIDENT DRIVER

Being involved in a hit-and-run accident is always a harrowing process for the victim and their family because it is often difficult to hold the perpetrator accountable. However, for one young woman who was injured recently in a hit-and-run truck accident, the perpetrator is likely to be brought to justice soon.

The 19-year-old student was critically injured when a red pickup truck hit her and then sped away. A witness was there to see the truck accident, and gave the best description she could regarding the incident. The 22-year-old man who the police believe was the driver at the time has not cooperated, nor have his parents. Further, the police believe he was driving drunk at the time, particularly because he has a history of alcohol-related offenses. The driver has since hired a lawyer and the police are planning on getting an arrest warrant by the end of the week. The victim is still on a ventilator since she underwent emergency brain surgery.

Being a victim in a hit-and-run accident can be an incredibly difficult process for anyone involved. The family must try to help nurse the injured victim back to health as much as possible while at the same time looking for answers. The most important step is to get the victim medical attention, but then once that is taken care of, collecting as much information as possible about the incident is critical. This means finding any witnesses who saw it, trying to get any information from the victim and then reporting it all to the police so they have the best chance to find the perpetrator.

Recovering from any type of accident is usually hard. Seeking out assistance is a good step towards the path to recovery.
