APRIL IS NATIONAL DISTRACTED DRIVING AWARENESS MONTH

Distracted driving is a serious problem in the United States. Every year, thousands of people die in avoidable car accidents caused by distracted drivers.

In recognition of this fact, the National Safety Council has declared April National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. You can read more about the details here. You can also sign up to receive informational materials that you can then share on various social media channels.

And awareness of these issues is important. Our Atlanta car accident lawyers have seen too many promising lives in the Atlanta area permanently altered or even snuffed out, simply because someone couldn’t put down a cell phone or keep their eyes on the road.

We live in a time of extraordinary connectivity. We’re always in touch with friends and family, and the latest news is always at our finger tips. And this is great- it feels good to never be out of touch with the people you care about.

But all of this connectivity means there are more distractions than ever. Drivers have always had to worry about another driver chatting with a passenger or changing a radio station. But with the ubiquity of cell phones, distracted driving is a greater menace than ever.

If you’ve suffered an injury as a result of distracted driving in the Atlanta, Georgia area, please call Chance, Forlines, Carter & King, PC today at 404-760-7400 for a free consultation.
